Call for Participation

The Doctoral Symposium at KogWis 2016 is a forum for Ph.D. students to discuss their objectives and recent work with a panel of experienced researchers working in the field of cognitive science, and with each other.

We welcome applicants from a broad range of disciplines connected to cognitive science, such as computer science, psychology, linguistics, neuroscience, philosophy, engineering, and related fields.

The participants of the symposium will be expected to give short presentations of their work, to be followed by a plenary discussion.

Submissions should be in English and must not exceed 4 pages including an abstract of not more than 100 words as well as a description of the work in progress. Please include information on key interests, motivation, methods, and related literature. In addition, a 2-3 paragraph biographical sketch should be supplied.

Submissions should be formatted according to the Springer LNCS formatting guidelines.

The Doctoral Symposium will be held on Wednesday, September 28th. Please submit your application by email as a PDF attachment to the KogWis 2016 Doctoral Symposium Chair (Zoe Falomir Llansola, zfalomir@informatik.uni-bremen.de). Please indicate "KogWis: Doctoral Symposium" in the subject.
